Why I Rent This Apartment – A Personal Note

My name is Barbara — I used to live in this very apartment for several years. I’ve since moved to a quieter, rural area in the Antwerp Kempen, but I kept this apartment because it still feels like home to me.

I continue to use the ground floor space as my professional office, but the apartment above is now available for private, medium-term rental only.

This is not a tourist rental, and I don’t use platforms like Airbnb. I prefer to offer a comfortable, respectful, and stable home for someone who truly needs a peaceful place in the city — whether you're an expat, a professional on assignment, or simply in transition.

The apartment is fully furnished, beautifully maintained, and ready to welcome someone who will treat it as their home — just as I once did.

Over de Buurt – Antwerpen Zuid

Welkom in Antwerpen Zuid – een van de meest geliefde en stijlvolle buurten van de stad.
Met haar brede lanen, statige herenhuizen en ontspannen sfeer, is ’t Zuid een perfecte combinatie van stedelijke levendigheid en gezellige rust.

Vanuit het appartement wandel je zo naar het Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten (KMSKA), kunstgalerijen, boetieks, koffiebars en populaire restaurants. Ook de Scheldekaaien, het stadspark en diverse fietsroutes liggen vlakbij — ideaal voor een rustige avondwandeling of sportieve pauze.

Dankzij de uitstekende tramverbindingen en fietspaden sta je snel in het historische centrum, op het Eilandje, of in Nieuw Zuid. Of je nu voor werk in de stad bent, tijdelijk verhuist of gewoon rust zoekt: Antwerpen Zuid biedt comfort en karakter.

Waarom Ik Dit Appartement Verhuur – Persoonlijk Verhaal

Ik ben Barbara – en ik heb zelf jarenlang in dit appartement gewoond.
Intussen ben ik verhuisd naar een rustige boerderijwoning in de Antwerpse Kempen, maar dit appartement blijft voor mij een speciale plek.

Op het gelijkvloers van het gebouw heb ik nog steeds mijn werkruimte/bureau. Het appartement op de bovenverdieping wordt intussen uitsluitend privé verhuurd, en niet aan toeristen.

Ik kies er bewust voor om niet met Airbnb of hotelachtige verhuur te werken. Ik wil het appartement aanbieden aan mensen die écht tijdelijk een rustige thuis zoeken: expats, professionals of gezinnen in overgang.

Het appartement is volledig ingericht, met zorg onderhouden, en klaar om iemand te verwelkomen die het met respect gebruikt — net zoals ik dat vroeger deed.
